       Judge presiding -

                          And now on this day this cause
       came on to be further heard William H. Wigg
       State attorney prosecuting in the name and by the
       authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner
       Dave Lewis being in open Court in his proper
       person as well as by his attorney Chas L. Fildes Esqr
       and now the Jurors who had on yesterday retired
       to consider of their verdict to wit T.E. Horn
       H.L. Hilliard S.J. Collins Henry Thomas
       John Edwards John Simmons Charney Thomas
       Daniel Mott James Slater Daniel Chesser
       F.W. Caroway W.S. Jackson returned into open
       Court and rendered the following verdict
       to wit: - We the Jurors find the Defendant
       Guilty of man Slawter in the second degree
