    Monday January 26th A.D. 1891
                                         At a Special
Term of the Circuit Court of the Fifth Judicial Circuit
of Florida in and for Alachua County For the Special
Term A.D. 1891 begun and holden at the Court House in
the City of Gainesville in Alachua County in the
State of Florida the following proceedings were begun
and held to wit: -
                At which was present His Honor
J.J. Finley Judge of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of
Florida Hon W.H. Wigg States attorney for the Fifth
Judicial Circuit, L.W. Fennell Sheriff of
Alachua County and J.A. Carlisle the Clerk
of this Court:-
                And now comes L.W. Fennell Sheriff
of Alachua County and returns the Venire Facias
for the Grand Jury as having been duly executed by
Summoning 1 J.M. Love 2 W.P. Mosely 3 T.M. Cauthen
4 Seth Brown 5. C.J. Morrison 6. J.S. Crown Sr. 7 Alex Avera
8 W.S. Campbell 9 E.A. Jeffords 10 Jno W. Cannon
11 S.L. Brock 12 T.W. Dawkins 13 A.J. Bates 14 A.G. Colclough
15. James Croxton 16. J.S. Goode 17 S.A. Levy 18 T. Benton Ellis
Whereupon
   The Grand Jury is Called and there came
1 J.M. Love 2 W.P. Mosely 3 T.M. Cauthen 4 Seth Brown 
5 C.J. Morrison 6 J.S. Crown Sr. 7 W.S. Campbell 8 E.A. 
Jeffords 9 Jno W. Cannon 10 S.L. Brock 11. T.W. Dawkins 
12 A.J. Bates 13 A.G. Colclough 14 James Croxton 15 J.S. Goode

The Court for good cause shown excused T. Benton
Ellis and Alex Avera from further attendance on
the Court.
Whereupon the Grand Jury retired to their room to
Select a Foreman.
And now in open Court Comes the grand Jury
and announce to the Court that they had selected
E.A. Jeffords as the Foreman of the Grand Jury for
this Term
    Whereupon the following named persons were
duly Sworn and empanelled as Grand Jurors for this
Term to wit
