Monday January 26th 1891
That in the death of the Honorable Jesse H. Goss which
occurred on the 14th day of June 1890 the Bar of
this State has lost one of its most distinguished
ornaments and the community one of its most law
abiding and useful Citizens and that we deeply
deplore it as a Special loss to us as members of the
Bar of this City
Resolved
That in Commemoration of the expression of
our Sorrow occasioned by this sad event the Circuit
Court now sitting in this City be requested to enter
at Large upon its minutes this testimonial of our
affectionate regard for our deceased brother and as a
further token of Respect for his memory the Court be
requested to adjourn for the day
Resolved further
That the Clerk of this Court be requested to furnish a
Copy of these proceedings to the family of the deceased
and a copy to the press of the City for publication

The Court met this day pursuant to adjournment of
yesterday His Honor J.J. Finley Judge presiding
Whereupon the Grand Jury Came into open Court
and the Court for good Cause shown excused
S.A. Levy, James Croxton and A.G. Colclough members of
the Grand Jury who had been duly Sworn and empanelled
as Grand Jurors on the 26th instant
Whereupon
The Court issued the following order to wit
In Circuit Court 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida
Alachua County
Special Term A.D. 1891
It appearing to the Court that there is a dificiency of
Five Grand Jurors to complete the panel of the Grand
Jury for this term. It is therefore considered and ordered
by the Court that the County Judge or in his absence
