Whereupon the Court Sentenced the prisoner to pay a fine of
Five dollars together with the Costs of prosecution
Whereupon
The Court adjourned until tomorrow morning
at nine oclock

And now on this day
this cause came on to be heard and the parties
plaintiff and defendant being in open Court
by their respective attorneys and now the issues
being joined a Jury was called and there came
B.C. Johnson, W.H. Everitt, J.T. Faircloth, E. Deupree
J.G. Hodges and S.L. Crews who were duly Sworn
and empanelled to well and truly try the issues
joined and the Jury aforesaid after hearing the
evidence the argument of Counsel and the Charge
of the Court retired to consider of their Verdict
and thereafter on the Same day returned into
open Court and rendered the following Verdict
to wit We the Jury find for the Plaintiff
and assess the damages at Five Hundred
dollars ($500.) E. Deupree

Whereupon it is ordered Considered and adjudged
by the Court that the Plaintiff do have and recover
of and from the Defendant the Sum of Five
Hundred dollars for his damages together with
his Costs in this behalf expended taxed at
Eighteen Dollars and Thirty ----
Cents and the Defendant in mercy &c
Whereupon the Court adjourned until Monday
