The Florida Southern } Davis Hampton &
Railway Company } Carter
} And now on this day
this cause came on to be heard and the parties
plaintiff and defendant being in open Court
by their respective Attorneys and now the issues
being joined a Jury was Called and there
came B.F. Hampton Tobias Brown Vandi H. Ellis
E.D. Hodges Lewis C. Ellis J.A. Morris who were
duly Sworn and empanelled to well and truly try the
issues joined according to the evidence and the Jury
aforesaid after hearing the evidence the argument
of Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired to
Consider of their Verdict and thereafter on the Same
day returned into open Court and rendered the
following Verdict to wit:

Fla So Ry Co } We the Jury find the Defendant
Guilty and assess the Plaintiffs damages at
Two Thousand and Eighteen 66/100 ($201866) Dollars So Say
we all } E.D. Hodges
Feby 2nd 1891 } Foreman
Whereupon it is Considered ordered
and adjudged by the Court that the Plaintiffs do
have and recover of and from the Defendant the
Sum of Two Thousand and Eighteen dollars and
sixty Six cents ($20186) for their damages together
with their costs in this behalf expended taxed at
One hundred and seventy Eight Dollars and
Ninety nine Cents and the Defendant in
mercy
