Wednesday February 4th 1891 --
State of Florida } Wigg
vs } Breaking and entering a building in
Wesley Williams } the night time witn intent to commit
} a felony
And now on this day this Cause
Came on to be heard William H. Wigg state attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority of the
State of Florida and the prisoner being in open court
in his proper person was demanded how he would
acquit himself of the Charge against him saith that
he is not guilty as the Indictment alleges against
him and for good and evil he puts himself upon
God and the County for trial --

And now on this Cause Came
on to be heard William H. Wigg State Attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority
of the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing
in open Court in his proper person was de-
manded how he would acquit himself of the
charge against him saith that he is not guilty
as the Indictment alleges against hiim and for
good and evil he puts himself upon God and the
County for trial whereupon a jury was called
and then came Vandi H. Ellis, E.D. Hodges
Lewis C. Ellis H.J. Bailey, L.J. Burkheim, J.W. Exley
Who were duly sworn and empanelled to well and
truly try the diffence pending according to the
evidence. And the Jury aforesaid after hearing
the evidence the argument of Counsel and the
Charge of the Court returned to consider of their
Verdict and thereafter on the same day returned
into open Court and rendered the following Verdict
to wit: -- We the Jury find the prisoner Guilty but ask
for the Mercy of the Court Lewis C. Ellis
