Whereupon the Defendant was
discharged from his recognizance also the States
Witnesses in this cause -

And now this Cause came on to
be heard William H. Wigg State Attorney prosecuting
in the name and by the authority of the State of
Florida and the prisoner who had been arraigned
herein on the 3rd day of February A.D. 1891 being in
open Court in his proper person as well as by his
attorneys Ashby & Davis and now a Jury was called and
then came B.F. Hampton Tobias Brown Vandi H. Ellis
E.D. Hodges Lewis C. Ellis C.C. Martin - who were duly
sworn and empanelled to well and truly try the difference
pending and thereafter after hearing the evidence the
argument of Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired
to consider of their verdict and thereafter on the same
day returned into open Court and rendered the
following verdict to wit: We the Jury find the
prisoner Guilty V.H. Ellis Foreman
