     State of Florida }

                      } And now the prisoner being in open
     Court for Sentence was demanded what he had to say
     why sentence should not be passed upon him saith
     nothing whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner to pay a
     fine of Ten Dollars together with the Cost of prosecution.

                       }  And now this Cause came on to
     be heard  William H. Wigg State Attorney prosecuting in the name and
     by the authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in open Court
     in his proper person as well as by his attorney  E.C.F. Sanchez and now the
     prisoner is demanded how he would acquit himself of the charge 
     against him saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment alleges
     against him and for good and evil he puts himself upon God
     and the County for trial.

     And
          Now the Court issued the following order to wit:  --
     It appearing to the Court that there is a necessity
     for a Petit Jury for the third Week of this term it is
     therefore Considered and ordered that the County Judge or in
     his absence a Justice of the Peace the Sheriff and the Clerk of
     the Circuit Court of Alachua County do fortwith and in open
     Court draw from the Box Containing the List of Three hundred Selected
     Jurors the names of Eighteen persons to Serve as Petit Jurors
     for the third Week of this term and that the Clerk of this
     Court do forthwith issue a Venire directed to the Sheriff
     of Alachua County Commanding him to summon the said
     Eighteen persons so drawn to be and appear before the
     Judge of our Circuit Court at the Court House in the
     City of Gainesville Alachua County Florida on Monday
     the 9th day of February  A.D. 1891 at the hour of ten oclock
     of the forenoon of said day   }               J.J. Finley
