Special Term  A.D. 1891
   Monday February 9th 1891
And
  Now comes M. Shiretzki and R.H. Hall and
acknowledge themselves to be indebted to the
Governor of the State of Florida in the sum of
Five hundred dollars the condition of such
obligation being for the attendance of the said
M. Shiretzki upon the Court from day to day
until finally discharged by order of this Court
Whereupon
          the Court adjourned until tomorrow morning
at nine Oclock

The Court met this day His Honor J.J. Finley Judge
presiding

State of Florida        }  Wigg & J.L. Frazer
       vs               }  Murder in 1st Degree
Barton Albert Thrasher  }  S.L. Carter, R.W. Davis, J.N. Leggitt
                        }  Hugh Miller & Ashby & Davis
                           And now on this day this
cause came on to be heard William H. Wigg
State Attorney for the fifth Judicial Circuit of
Florida prosecuting in the name and by the
authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner
Barton Albert Thrasher being in open Court in
his proper person as well as by his attorneys
S.L. Carter, R.W. Davis, J.N. Leggitt, Hugh Miller and
Ashby & Davis, and now the prisoner Barton Albert
Thrasher is brought to the Bar here under the
Custody of L.W. Fennell the Sheriff of Alachua
County to which Sheriff the prisoner Barton Albert
Thrasher is also likewise committed was demanded
how he would acquit himself of the Charge against
him saith that he is not guilty as the Indict-
ment alleges against him and for good and
evil he puts himself upon God and the Country
for trial whereupon a Jury was called and
there came 1 M.M. May, 2 O. Gamage 3 W.H.
Davis 4 O.G. Barker - And now the Venire being
exhausted by reason of Challenges and for Cause
the Court issued the following order to wit
