Special Term A.D. 1891
Friday February 20th 1891 -
name and by the authority of the State of Florida and the
prisoner Barton Albert Thrasher being in open Court in his
proper person as well as by his attorneys S.L. Carter R.W.
Davis, J.N. Leggitt, Hugh Miller & Ashby & Davis as also
likewise the Jury who has heard a further part of
the argument of Counsel in this Cause on yesterday
to wit. 1 O.G. Barker 2. C.R. Holder 3 W.J. Matthews 4 W.R.
Carter, 5 W.P. Barr 6 John R. Dowd 7 J.Z. Feltner 8 W.E. Johnson
9. Jas M. Graham 10 F.W. Cole 11 R.A. Coulter 12 Lawrence Davis
being no win open Court the hearing of this cause
was resumed and the Jury aforesaid after hearing
the balance of the argument and the charge of
the Court retired to consider of their Verdict - and
thereafter on the same day returned into open Court and
rendered the following verdict to wit:
Gainesville Fla 2nd 1891 -, We the Jury
find Barton Albert Thrasher not Guilty Jno R. Dowd Foreman -
Whereupon the prisoner was discharged from Custody -
And now the Grand Jury who had been discharged
for this term having been resumed by virtue
of the order of this Court on the 17th instant to wit:

5 T.M. Cauthen 6 Seth Brown 7 C.J. Morrison 8 J.S.
Crown Sr. 9 W.S. Campbell 10 Jno W. Canon 11 S.L. Brock
12 T.W. Dawkins 13 A.J. Bates 14 J.S. Goode 15 T. Denby
16 Jno L. Curry 17 Giles J. Burnett being in open Court
retired to select a Foreman
And
Now the Grand Jury came into open Court and
announced that they had selected James D. Leitner
as their Foreman
Whereupon
the following named persons were duly Sworn
and empanelled as Grand Jurors to wit:

2 E.A. Jeffords 3 J.M. Love 4 W.P. Moseley 5 T.M. Cauthen
6 Seth Brown, 7 C.J. Morrison 8. J.S. Crown Sr. 9. W.S. Campbell

14 J.S. Goode 15 T. Denby 16 Jno L. Curry 17 Giles J.
Burnett -
Whereupon
S.T. Bevill is now Sworn as Bailiff to the
Grand Jury
