                          And now this Cause came on to
      be heard William H. Wigg State attorney prosecu-
      ting in the name and by the authority of the
      State of Florida and the prisoners appearing
      in open Court in his proper person as well
      as by his attorney S.Y. Finley was demanded How
      he would acquit himself of the Charge against him
      Saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
      alleges against him and for good and evil he
      puts himself upon God and the Country for trial
      And now this cause is Continued on the affidavit of the

      L.W. Fennell the Sheriff of Alachua County
