S.H. Montgomery & J.M. Rivers esquires was arraigned and upon his
arraignment saith that he is not guilty of the charge as alleged
in the indictment against him and for good and evil puts himself
upon the country for trial
Whereupon a jury was called and there came J.L. Neal
J.A. Manning, M.A. Densler W.L. Hill, W.R. Stevens J.L. Tillman
C.L. Thigpen. And now the regular panel of the jury being
exhausted by reason of challenge and otherwise the Court ordered
the sheriff to summon talisman from the bystanders or the
body of the County to complete the panel And there came
E.B. Lewis E.F. Zetrouer J.H. Keys T.E. Brown and J.Y. Bradley
who were tendered by the State and accepted
Whereupon the further hearing of this cause was
postponed until tomorrow morning
Whereupon Court adjourned until tomorrow morning
at Nine O'clock

Court met this day pursuant to adjournment of yesterday his honor
