Special Term Circuit Court A.D. 1900
                    Monday February 12th 1900
At nine O'clock A.M. the Court was opened in accordance
with the order for a Special Term made at the last regular term
of this Court, which order is recorded on page 303 of the minutes
of said term, Present Hon W.A. Hocker Judge of the Fifth
Judicial Circuit of Florida, L.W. Fennell Sheriff of Alachua
County, Syd L. Carter State Attorney and H.C. Denton Clerk
of this Court.

It appearing that the Clerk of this Court in pursuance of the order
made at the last regular Term of this Court for the drawing of grand
and petit jurees to serve at this Special Term of the Court did after ten
days Notice previously given by posting in three public places in this County
and after the Sheriff had proclaimed the meeting and its purpose at
the Court House door, in the presence of the Sheriff and the County Judge
twenty seven days before this Special Term of the Court draw from the box
containing the names of the persons selected by the County Commissioners
to serve as jurors for the year 1900 the following named persons to serve as
jurors at this Special Term of the Court and a venire for said persons
was issued by the Clerk and placed in the hands of the Sheriff and return
upon the same was made at nine O'clock A.M. this the 12th day of
February 1900 at the opening of this Term of the Court.
Whereupon the Judge of the Court in open Court placed the names
of the persons so returned and present and not excused in a box and
drew therefrom the names of the following persons as Grand Jurors,
Viz: B.F. Mathews, S.J. Sykes, W.M. Burch, John Fennell, J.G. Jarvis
P.H. Westgard, J.T. Fleming, C.A. Colclough, A.B. Thomas, W.G.
Videon, Z.M. Sanders, W.S. Turner, G.H. Barker, W.S. Dorsey
B.F. Jordan, T.M. Kincaid, W.D. Graddick and S.S. Polk,
and at the same time drew the following named persons as petit
jurors, Viz: Marcus Endel J.C. Hague T.J. Dobbs J.C. Havis
T.B. Ellis, W.J. McCormick, W.J. Denby and J.F. Barrow.
  Whereupon the Grand Jurors by order of the Court were duly sworn
by the Clerk of this Court and retired to select their Foreman,
and thereafter returned into open Court and announced that they
had selected John T. Fleming (summoned as J.T. Fleming) as their
Foreman.
     Thereupon the Court after delivering the usual charge instructed
the Grand Jury to retire to their room in charge of the baliff J.R.W.
Grissom who had been previously sworn as such by the Clerk of this
Court
       Whereupon Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at 9 O'clock
