The above case having been set for trial at
9 Oclock AM Feby 1st 1900 and there being but eight petit jurors and
the Court being of the opinion that a Special Venire will be
necessary to complete the panel for the trial of the said cause
the Clerk is directed to issue a Venire to the Sheriff commanding
him to summon from the County at large twenty qualified persons
from whom to complete the panel of petit jurors for the trial
of said cause

Whereupon the Clerk issued the following Venire as by the
Court directed
In the Circuit Court of Alachua County
Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida
The State of Florida
To L.W. Fennell Sheriff of Alachua County
Greeting: You are hereby commanded to summon from the
body of the County at large Twenty persons qualified to
serve as jurors each for himself to be and personally appear before
the Judge of our Circuit Court at the Court House in the City of
Gainesville Alachua County Florida on Wednesday the 14th day of
February 1900 at the hour of nine o'clock AM of said day to serve
as special jurors in the case of the State of Florida Vs Willis Brice
charged with murder
Witness the Hon W.A. Hocker Judge of the 5th Judicial Circuit
of Florida and the seal of said Circuit Court this 13th day of
February AD 1900 H.C. Denton

Whereupon Court adjourned until tomorrow morning
at 9 Oclock

Court met this day pursuant to adjournment of
yesterday his Honor W.A. Hocker Judge presiding
And now comes L.W. Fennell Sheriff of Alachua County
and returns the Venire issued out of this Court on yesterday
for twenty persons to serve as special jurors in the case of
the State of Florida Vs Willis Brice as having been
executed by summoning J.R. Eddins J.R. Pardue
