the prisoner in manner and form as follows:
 The sentence of the Law is that you Willis Brice alias William
Brice be imprisoned by confinement at hard labor in the state prison
for the term of your natural life

              Now comes the appellee by its attorney R.E. Davis and
moves the court to dismiss said appeal: And now said motion being
submitted to the court and argued by counsel for the respective
parties and the Court being advised in the premises doth decide
and order that said motion be overruled

Marvin Summers   }
            Now comes the defendant Marvin
Summers by B.A. Thrasher Evans Haile and R.P. Calhoun
his attorneys and moves the Court to Quash the said Indictment
against him. And now said motion being submitted to the Court and
argued by counsel for the respective parties and the Court being
advised in the premises doth decide and order that said motion
be and is hereby overruled and denied. To which ruling and order of
the Court the defendant then and there accepted

Sonny Taylor     }
              Now this cause came on to be heard Syd
L. Carter State Attorney prosecuting in the name and by authority
of the state of Florida and the prisoners Edward Wideman and A.L.
Smart being in open Court in their proper person: ( A severance having
been granted unto Sonny Taylor) were arraigned and upon their 
arraignment pleaded not guilty and for good and evil put themselves
upon God and the Country for trial. Whereupon Jury
was called and there came H.B. Brooker, A.L. Jackson
W.P. Davis, L.N. Vidal, W.M. Bradford, and Walter Parker, who were duly
Empanelled and sworn to well and truly try the issues between
the State of Florida and the defendants according to the evidence
    And the Jury aforesaid after hearing the evidence and the
