who executed the foregoing instrument that said
William & Thomas severally executed the same in
his presence & that he set his name as a subscribing
witness thereto which is to me is satisfactory evidence
of the due execution of said instrument.
           In witness whereof I have hereunto set

 Quit Claim
                 This indenture made the second
day of February in the year of our lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty nine between William
Wells, Frederick Ryer and Cynthia W. his wife,
all of the city of New York the said William W. and
Cynthia W. being the children and heirs at law of
Nathaniel Wells deceased parties of the first part
and Theodore Bailey Myers of the City of New York
Counsellor at Law party of the second part
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar
lawful money of the United States of America to them
in hand paid by the said party of the second part
at or before the ensealing and delivery of these pre-
sents the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged
have remised released and Quit claimed and 
by these presents do remise release and Quit claim 
unto the said party of the second part and to his 
heirs and assigns forever All the undivided one
quarter part of all the right title and interest
of the said parties of the first part or of any or
either of them whither under the will of said
Nathaniel Wells or his heirs at law or as heirs at law
of Benjamin R. Wells deceased of in and to the
lands belonging to said Nathaniel in his life time
and at the time of his death being a portion of
thirty thousand acres situated in the Alachua 
territory in East Florida and being a portion
of a larger tract of 289,645 5/7 acres known as the
Arredondo Grant which said thirty thousand
