Know all men by these presents that I Calvin Bryan of Alachua County Florida
in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred dollars($1200) to me in hand 
paid by Robert Stokes of North Carolina do hereby grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said Robert Stokes their heirs and assign a certain 
tract of land situated in said county known according to the Platts of the
survey of the same by the United States of America as the North East 
quarter and the East half of the North west quarter section Thirty Five
(35) Township Eight(8) South Range Eighteen East containing Two Hun-
-dred and forty acres more or less, together with all the privileges and 
appurtenances to the said land is any wise appertaining and belonging
to have and to hold the above granted land and premises unto the said
Robert Stokes his heirs and assignees to his and their use and behoof forever
And I the said Calvin Bryan for myself, my heirs, executors and admin-
-istrators do covenant with the said Robert Stokes his heirs and assigns
that I am lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises: that they are
free from all all incumbrances; that I have good right to sell and convey the to the 
said  Robert Stokes as aforesaid, and that I will and my heirs Executors and
administrators shall warrant and defend the same the said Robert
Stokes his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demand of all
persons            And Mary Hemming wife of the said Calvin Bryan
in consideration of the sum of one dollar to her in hand paid the receipt
whereof in the aforegranted land and premises
           In Testimony whereof I the said Calvin Bryan and Mary Hemming my
wife have hereunto set our hands & seal this 18th day of February AD 1851

I Mary Hemming Bryan wife of Calvin Bryan alone named do hereby
acknowledge and declare that the release relinquishment and renunciation
of dower in the foregoing deed made by me was made freely and voluntarily
and without any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from
the said Calvin Bryan.      In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand
and affix my seal this 18th day of February AD 1851
