This Indenture made this 15th day of November
1849 Between Charles W. Brush and Eugene
Van Ness Executors of the Last Will & Testament
of Dr. Nehemiah Brush deceased of the first
part and James T. Thomas of Alachua County
Florida of the Second part Witnesseth that where as
under and by virtue of the power and authority
given to the parties of the first in & by the said
Last Will & Testament of Dr. N. Brush deceased
the said parties of the first part have in
consideration of the Sum of two hundred and
fifty Dollars to them in hand paid by the party of
the first Second part the Receipt whereof of which is
hereby acknowledged granted bargained and sold
and conveyed to the said party of the second
part all that certain piece parcel or tract of
land Situated in the Arredondo grant of land
in Alachua County Florida Known in a cer
tain map of said grant made by Messrs Burr &
Washington as the South half of Section five (5) in
township ten (10) in Range twenty (20) containing
three hundred & twenty acres of land more or less
said half section being purchased by the parties
of the first part as Executors aforesaid at a Sale
of Said grant made under order of the Circuit Court
of St. Johns Court Florida for the purpose of parti
tioning the same among its several proprietors on
the 25th day of February 1849 and several succesive
days thereafter untill all was sold
