Know all men by these presents that I, George R. Fairbanks
of the County of St. Johns State of Florida, in consideration of the
Sum of one dollar to me in hand paid and of the payment
heretofore made by Chas L. Wilson on account of the purchase
money of Sec 19 T9 R19 of the Arredondo Grant do hereby release
and discharge from the Indenture of Mortgage executed by Char
-les L. Wilson and Lydia his wife executed on the 11th May 1849
of the aforesaid Sec 19 T9 R19 and Recorded in Alachua County
Record pages 176 & 177 Book A - All the north half of said Section
which hath been purchased by one James Sikes of said Charles
L. Wilson & wife and I do hereby quit claim said N. Half of
said Section to said James Sikes his heirs and assigns forever

Know all men by these presents that whereas I Charles L. Wilson
of Alachua County Florida am justly indebted to Geo R. Fairbanks
of the City of St. Augustine in the Sum of five hundred dollars or
thereabouts by virtue of a certain bond given by me to said Fairbanks
on the 11th May 1849 for the purchase of a tract of land in said County
Now therefore in consideration of the premises, and of a release this day
executed by said Fairbanks of a portion of said land to one James
Sikes, and for the better securing to said Fairbanks the said sum of
money I do hereby sell, assign, transfer, and convey to said Fairbanks
his heirs and assigns a certain Mulatto boy named William aged
about twenty eight 28 years and now on my plantation in said County, to have
and to hold the said slave to him the said Fairbanks his heirs and
assigns forever Provided Nevertheless and this Indenture is upon the
