Know all men these presents that I Charles F. Fitchett of Alachua
          County Florida in consideration of the sum of five hundred & fifty dollars
          to me paid by Gilford Sikes of the same county & State the receipt
          whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby bargin, sell, release &
          forever quit claim unto the said Gilford Sikes his heirs & assigns
          all those tracts or parcels of land situated in said county desig-
          nated in the official plat of the survey of the same by the
          United Stated of America as the North East half of the North
          East quarter of Section No.(9) nine in the Township of No Eight(8)
          S of Range No. Eighteen(18) containing in all thirty nine Acres &
          91/100 ninety-one hundredths more or less also the North East 1/4
          of the South East 1/4 quartrer of Section No.(10) in Township No.Eight
          (8) S of Range No. Eighteen E containing thirty nine(39) & seventy
          nine 79/100 acres more or less which said tracts of land were
          purchased from the United States one piece by William Waters
          on the 23rd day of September Eighteen hundred and forty six
          and the other by Charles F. Fitchett on the 7th day of April
          Eighteen hundred and forty nine and for which a patent was
          issued to me by said United States on the       day of
                               Together with all priviledges & appurtenances as
          thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to have and to
          hold the above tracts or parcels of land with the appurtanances as
          unto said Gilford Sikes his heirs and assigns forever
          & I do hereby covenant for myself my heirs, Executors and admin-
          istrators with the said Gilford Sikes his heirs, Executors, adminis-
          trators & assigns that said land & premises are free from all
          incumbrances made or suffered by me & that I will & my heirs,
          Executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the same
          to the said Gilford Sikes his heirs and assigns against the
          lawful claims of all persons claiming under me,  But against
          none others & I the said Charles F. Fitchett do hereby further
          for the above consideration assign unto the said Gilford Sikes
          all my claims upon the amount of money paid to the United
          States for the said tract or parcels of land.
