Know all men by these presents that I Guilford Sikes of Alachua County
Florida in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars to
me paid by Isiah Floid of the same County and State the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged do hereby bargain sell and releas and forever
quit claim unto the said Isiah Floid his heirs and assigns all of a
tract of land situated in said County designated in the official plat of
the survey of the same by the U.S.A. as the south half of the North
west quarter of Section No. [10] Ten in Township No (18) eight S
of range No (18) E containing in all eighty three acres more or less
which said tract of land was purchased from the United States
by said Guilford Sikes on the 4th day of February Eighteen hundred
and fifty one and for which a patent was issued to said Guilford Sikes
by the United States on the    day of
Together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging or in
any wise appertaining to have and to hold the above tract of land with
appurtenances unto the said Isiah Floid his heirs and assigns forever
and I do hereby covenant for myself my heirs executors and Admin-
-istrators with the said Isiah Floid his heirs, executors administrators
and assigns that the said said land and premises are free from
all encumbrances made or suffered by me and that I will and
my heirs executors and administrators shall warrant and defend
the same to the said Isiah Floid his heirs and assigns and the
lawful claims of all other persons, and I the said Guildford Sikes
do hereby for the above consideration assign unto the said Isiah Floid
all my claim upon the amount of money paid to the United States
for the said Tract of land               Witness my hand and seal

Be it Known that I Caroline Sikes wife of the within Guilford Sikes
hereby declare and acknowledge that I do hereby relinquish all
my right of dower or claim to dower in and to the within described
tract of land unto the within named Isiah Floyd and the said
relinquishment is made freely and voluntarily and without any com=
pulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from my said husband
