     Be it known that before me personally ap-
paeared the above mentioned Caroline Sikes & being by me examin-
ed separate and apart from her said husband say the same is
her own free voluntary act witness my hand and seal this 13th 
day of October AD 1851                         Saml W. Burnett

Know all men by these presents tht we John B. Standley and Penelope his wife of Alachua County Florida, for and in condsid- eration of the sum of Two hundred & fifty dollars to us in hand paid by Elijah Barrow of the aforesaid County and State the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby give grant bargain sell and convey to the said Elijah Barrow his heirs and assigns a certain tract of land situated in the Town of Newnansville in said County & State (as per plat of said Town) beginning at the South East corner in the two centre streets in said running South, fronting one of the center streets seventy five feet, thence East Seventy five feet, thence North seventy five feet thence west seventy five & fronting the other center street to the place of beginning To have and to hold the above granted premises unto the said Elijah Barrow his heirs and assigns forever, and I the said John B. Standley do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Elijah Barrow his heirs and assigns, that I will and my heirs executors and administrators shall warrant and forever de- fend the said tract or parcel of land to the said Elijah Barrow his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and de- mands of all persons whomsoever, save and except the claims and demands of any persons assigns under and from any grant of land made by the Spanish Government, or to its offices or officers authorized to make such grant. And for the further consideration aforesaid and for divers other good causes and valueable consideration I, Penelope Standley wife the said John B. Standley do hereby release and quit claim unto the said Elijah Barrow his heirs and assigns all my right claim or possibility of dower in or about the aforesaid premises In witness whereof me the said
