                   Personally appeared before the subscriber
Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said County M.S. Perry who
being duly sworn saith that he saw John H. Lewis sign and seal
the foregoing instrument of writing for the purposes therein men-
=tioned and that W.W. Lewis was also a subscribing witness

This Indenture made and entered into that the Twenty second
day of June in the year One thousand eight hundred and fifty
one, between John H. Lewis and Mary M. Lewis his wife of the
County of Madison State of Alabama, of the one part and William
W. Lewis of the County of Alachua, and State of Florida of the
other part; Witnesseth that for and in consideration of Five thou=
-sand two hundred and sixty seven dollars to them in hand
paid at the ensealing and delivery of these presents, they have
bargained and sold released, and quit claimed all right and
title they may have to the following tracts of land in the County
of Alachua and State of Florida, known in the survey of the
Arredondo Grant as Section number Twenty two, Township
Ten Range Twenty also fraction Twenty seven Township Ten
Range Twenty, also the west half, of fraction number Twenty
six Township Ten, Range Twenty, The same to be divided by a
line drawn due north and south, reserving a pathway for the
benefit of John Lewis of twenty feet, at a point where section
fifteen, twenty two and twenty one convers and to be laid out
on Sec twenty two To Have and to hold the above described
tracts of land to him the said William W. Lewis his heirs and
assigns forever, And we the said John H. Lewis and Mary
M. Lewis will forever defend the title hereby conveyed against
the lawful claim or claims of all and every person or
persons whatever claiming under by through the said John
H. Lewis and Mary M. Lewis  In Testimony whereof we
