This Indenture, made the Eighteenth day of August
in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & fifty one
Between William Thorn Surviving Trustee of the New York
Florida Association of the City and State of New York of the
first part and George R. Fairbanks of the City of St. Augustine
and State of Florida of the Second part. Witnesseth
that Whereas the Said William Thorn is now the Sole
Surviving Trustee of the New York Florida Association and
as Such Trustee is Seized in fee and in trust for
the members of Said Association of the Lands and premises
hereinafter described, to which he derives title through and
under a conveyance from F.M. Arredondo & Son to said
William Thorn Alexander M. Muir and Noah Jarvis
Trustees of the Said New York, Florida Association which
Said Deed bears date in the
      Now This Indenture Witnesseth, That the Said party
of the first part Sole Surviving Trustee of the Said New
York Florida association for and in Consideration of
the Sum of Two Thousand Seven hundred and Seven
77/100 Dollars lawful money of the United States of America
to him in hand paid at or before the Ensealing and
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged: Hath granted, bargained, Sold, aliened, released
conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant,
bargain, Sell, alien, release and convey & confirm unto
the Said party of the Second part, all those Certain
tracts pieces and parcels of Land lying being and
Situated in the Counties of Alachua and Marion in the
State of Florida and being part and parcel of the Grant
made to F.M. Arredondo & Son by the Spanish Government
on the 22nd of December 1817 for the Quantity of 289,645 5/7 acres
of Land and which Said Tracts or parcels ate designated
upon a map of the Said Grant made by Mesrs Burr
and Washington Commissioners &c in the year
1846 as follows Section No 16 in Township No Ten
Range No 20 Containing Seven hundred & Twenty Eight
Acres - Also Section No Five in Township No Nine (9) in
Range No 19 Containing 299 67/100 Acres Also Section No
6 in Township No 9 in Range No 19 Containing 297 41/"
Acres - Also Section No Three in Township No Twelve
Range No 20 Containing 640 Acres - Also the West
half of Section No (6) Six in Township No Twelve
