                       This indenture made and executed this
30th day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and forty one between Wm H. Carpenter and Martha
C. Carpenter his wife of the State and County of aforesaid of the
first part and Daniel Morrison of the Second part
  Witnesseth that the Said Wm H. Carpenter and Martha C. Carpenter
for and in consideration of the Sum of three hundred Dollars
to them in hand paid by the Said Daniel Morrison the
receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
Sold Conveyed and delivered and by these presents doth
grant bargain Sell convey and deliver unto the Said
Daniel Morrison his heirs and assigns all the following described
lot or parcel of Land lying and being in the County
aforesaid and Known as the North West qr of Sec Thirty Six
in Township Ten South of Range Twenty two East Containing
one hundred and Sixty one acres and forty Seven hundredths
of an acre to have and to hold the Said before described
premises together with the right and appurtenances thereunto
belonging him the Said Daniel Morrison his heirs and
assigns for ever in fee Simple and the Wm H. Carpenter
and Martha C. Carpenter for themselves their heirs executors
and administrators will for ever warrant and defend
the right and title thereunto against the Claims of
all person whatsoever in Testimony Whereof the Said
Wm H. Carpenter & Martha C. Carpenter has hereunto set their
hands and Seal the day and Year above written

                    On this 8th Decbr 1851 personally appeared
before me the Subscriber McKeen Carlton one of the Subscribing
witnesses who under oath declares that he Saw Wm H. Carpenter  
& Martha C. Carpenter his wife execute the above instrument
of writing for the purposes therein mentioned
