Marion County } This Indenture made this the Sixth
day of January in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and
fifty two between Blake Anderson Carter of the County and State
aforesaid of the One part and James M.T. Carter of the Same
place of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in Considera-
-tion of the natural love and affection which he the Said Blake
A. Carter has and bears towards his daughter Margaret Regina
Miller of the County of Alachua and State, aforesaid, Wife
of Richard W. Miller, and for and in consideration of the Sum
of Four hundred dollars Cash in hand paid by the Said Richard
W. Miller, and Five (5) dollars cash in hand paid by the Said James
M.T. Carter at and before the Sealing and delivery of these
presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
bargained Sold, granted and conveyed, and by these presents
doth bargain, Sell, grant and Convey unto the Said James
M.T. Carter for the use benefit and advantage in trust
for the Said Margaret Regina Miller the children She now
has and those She may hereafter have by her present or a
future husband, free from the controll or disposition of her
present of future husband, all and Singular the right title
And interest of him the Said Blake A. Carter of in and to
the following named and described Negro Slaves, to wit Una,
Aruzi and Martha Jane, Una a woman about twenty years
of age and Aruzi a Boy three years and Martha Jane a Girl
about four months of age children of Said Una together
with all and Singular their increase and future issue, Said
Woman Una and her two children Aruzi and Martha Jane
being (or to be Estimated to be worth Six hundred dollars over and
above the four hundred paid at and before the Sealing and
delivery of these presents. Providing however nevertheless
that if the Said Margaret Regina Miller Should die and
have no legal or natural heir of her body living at the
time of her death then the aforementioned Negro Slaves, and
the right and title of and to them to return and revert
back to the aforesaid Blake Anderson Carter and to his heirs
and assigns, as though this Indenture had never been
given. Provided he pays back to the said Richard W.
Miller or to his heirs administrators or assigns the
aforementioned Sum of Four Hundred Dollars paid to him
by the Said Richard W. Miller as aforesaid
