Effingham County  }  Know all men by these presents that I
Amy Blake of the State and County aforesaid being of Sound mind
disposing mind, having determined to divide my property between
amoung the heirs of my body, Doth in account of the kind reguard
and affection which I have and do bear towards my Daughter
Rachel W. Colson, Consort of Paul B. Colson, give and bequeath
and by these presents do give and bequeath unto the Said Rachel
W. Colson (four Negroes (viz) a man named Sam, aged about
twenty Eight years of Age (reserving use of Said Negro for myself
during my natural life) and Pleasant a woman aged about
Twenty four Year, Patsey a girl about four Years of age & Sharlotte
a girl about two years of age, to have and to hold Said property for
her the said Rachel W. Colson's own use and benefit, during
her natural life, and in no wise subject to the debts of
her husband Paul B. Colson and when the Said Rachel
is no more an inhabitant of Earth, when She Shall Cease
to live, and be no more amoung the living of the living of
the land, the within named property with all of its increase
shall belong to the children of the Said Rachel W. Colson, by
her first husband John D. Strobhar, names of children
Laura L. Boston, Consort of Geo W. Boston, Henry J. Strobhar
Noble A. Strobhar, and Should Eigher of the here last named
Children die leaving no increase, The Surviving one or ones to
have Said named property with its increase.
      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my
hand and Seal this Sixteenth day of January A.D. One Thousand
