State of Florida
Alachua County          This indenture made this Tenth day of 
March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and 
Fifty two between Isaih Floyd of the County and State aforesaid
of the first part and Zilpha Standley of Said County and State 
of the Second part;
     Witnesseth that the Said Isaih Floyd hath made and deliver-
ed to the Said Zilpha Standley his certain promissory note bear-
ing every date with these presents whereby the Said Isaih Floyd
bargained to pay the Said Zilpha Standly or bearer One Hundred
Dollars per Value received with interest on Said Sum of money
from the date of Said promissory note
     Now for and in consideration of the Sum of Five Dollars by
the Said Zilpha Standly to the Said Isaih Floyd in hand paid the
receipt-whereof is hereby acknowledged as well as for the better
Securing of the Payment of the aforesaid promissory note, the
Said Isaih Floyd hath granted bargained and Sold and doth by 
these presents grant bargain and Sell unto the Said Zilpha Stan-
ly her heirs and assigns One Dark bay mare age about nine Years 
more or less one Bay Colored Colt with a white face age about 
six months more or less, Twenty head more or less of Stock hogs
     To have and to hold the said bargained property to the said
Zilpha Standly her heirs and assigns, to her and their own pro-
per use and benefits forever
     And the Said Isaih Floyd for himself his heirs executors,
and admin make the said bargained property with the said Zilpha
Standly will warrant and forever defend against the claim of him
self and his heirs and against the Claims of all persons what-
ever; Provided nevertheless that if the Said Isaih Floyd his 
heirs executors and administrators, Shall And do well and truly
pay or cause to be paid, with the said Zilpha Standly her heirs
and assigns the aforementioned amount of One Hundred Dollars on
the day and time mentioned and appointed for the payment there-
of in the Said promissory note mentioned, with lawful interest 
on the Same, according to the tenor of Said note, Then and from
thenceforth, as well This present Indenture and the right to 
the property thereby conveyed as the Said promissory note men-
tioned Shall Cease determine and be void to all interest and purposes
