Know all men by these presents that I James D. Jones
of the State and County aforesaid have this day sold
unto Tersa Williams for the Sum of Six hundred dollars
payment of which is hereby acknowledged all that parcel
or tract of land situated lying and being within the
Arredondo Grant State and County aforesaid and Known
upon the Map of said Grant as made by Messrs
Burr & Washington as Section No. Twenty three, in
Township No. nine Range Twenty nine, and I do hereby
Sell grant lease and deliver unto said Tersa Williams
County and State aforesaid the above mentioned tract of
land together with all rights members hereditaments or
appurtenances incident to or in any wise appertaining
And I do hereby bind myself my heirs, executors and
administrators and assigns to warrant and defend the
above mentioned tract of land unto the said Tersa Williams
her heirs executors Administrators and assigns, against
all persons lawfully claiming the same. In witness whereof
I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this twenty second
day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and fifty two

                     Personally appeared before the
subscriber Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said County
M.S. Perry one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing
deed, who being duly sworn says that he saw James D.
Jones, execute the above deed for the purposes therein men-
tioned and that Nathaniel Jones was also a subscribing witness
