This Indenture made and entered into on this the 27th day of Oct
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy between
                                         party
Franklin Desha and his wife Katharine Desha^of the first part, and
Jennie E. Ancrum party of the second part Witnesseth: That the said
parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five hun-
dred dollars, Lawful money to them in hand paid by the said party
of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given
granted, aliened, bargained, sold, transferred; and do by these presents
give grant, alien, bargain, sell, transfer and convey unto the said party
of the second part, all that tract or parcel of land known and describ
ed as follows: Lot No(2) Two and the North West quarter of the South
East quarter of section (30) Thirty, Township (8) Eight of Range (22)
Twenty two south, and east, containing (106) One hundred and six acres.
To have and to hold, the above described premises, together with all and
singular the rights and privileges, immunities, easements and appurtenan-
ces thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining unto the said
party of the second part, and her heirs, as their absolute property
in fee simple forever. And the said parties of the second part do
covenant and agree that are seized of a good and indefeasible fee
simple to the above premises, and that they have good right to
convey the same as they have conveyed the same free and dis-
charged from all encumbrances and liens of any and every nature
and description and that the said party of the second part,
Her heirs & assigns, shall quietly and peaceably enjoy the above
described premises against all persons whatsoever, lawfully claiming
the same. And that they will at any and at all times make
such further covenants conveyances and assurances at the expense
of the said parties of the second part, as she, the said party
of the second part, her heirs or assigns, or counsel learned in the 
law, may require.

affixed their hands and seals
