William T. Craig to me well known as the person described in and who
executed the foregoing Deed of Conveyance and acknowledged that he execu-
ted the same for the purpose therein expressed, whereupon it is prayed
that the same may be recorded.

Alachua County } Whereas by virtue of a Decree in Chancery from the
Circuit Court of Alachua County and State of Florida & to the Sheriff
of Alachua directed, the said Sheriff was commanded that of the goods
and chattels lands and tenements of John R. Bevill caused to be
made the sum of Twelve hundred and eighty two 70/100 ($128270) with
interest thereon and costs of suit which Thomas H. Chestnut late
ly recovered under a Decree of Foreclosure of a Mortgage in said Court
against him the said John R. Bevill. And whereas L.A. Barnes
Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said decree did on the 30th day of August
AD 1876 levy upon and seize the property hereinafter described and did
by virtue of said Decree duly advertise the said property for sale on the
2nd day of October AD 1876 and I John J. Thompson by reason of in-
terest of L.A. Barnes Shff having been appointed Elisor to conduct the
sale in said cause by virtue by virtue of my authority as such
Elisor did sell the same to Foster and Colclough for the sum of Twelve
hundred and eighty-two 70/100 ($1282.70) dollars being the highest sum
bid for the same at said sale.
Now know all men by these presents that I the said John J. Thomp-
son as such Elisor appointed by said order of Court by virtue of the said
Decree of foreclosure and of the statutes in such cases made and provided
for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred and eighty two
70/100 dollars to me in hand paid by the said Foster and Colclough have
granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell
and convey unto the said Foster and Colclough their heirs and assigns
forever all the following property to wit: All that certain piece parcel
or tract of land lying and being situated in the County of Alachua in
the State of Florida known and described as section seven (7) Township
Ten (10) Range nineteen (19) and Section Twelve (12) Township Ten (10)
Range Eighteen (18) containing Twelve hundred and eighty acres
more or less together with all the right title interests & equities which
the said John R. Bevill had of in or to the same.
