County of Whitfield } Be it remembered that on this 4th day of November
AD 1876 before me H.C. Hamilton Clerk of the Superior Court
in and for said State and County, being a Court of record personally ap-
peared Mary E. McHan who was proven to me satisfactorily to be one of the
persons described in and who joined in the execution of the within deed of
conveyance, who being by me examined separate and apart from her
husband the said Barnabas McHan acknowledged that she joined in the
execution of the said deed for the purpose of relinquishing and renoun-
cing all her dower and right of dower in and to the premises therein
described and that such acknowledgement and relinquishment was
and is made freely and voluntarily without any compulsion, constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband the said Barnabas Mc
Han. } In testimony whereof she hath here-

one thousand eight hundred and seventy six between John A. Kennedy
of the County and State aforesaid of the first part, and George Doig
A. Coulter, John Gamble, I.N. Wylie, T. Rodgers, W.D. Dickenson, T.R.
Kennedy, A.T. Zetrouer, and John R. Zetrouer, parties of the second
part all of the County and State aforesaid, Trustees in trust, for
the uses and purposes hereinafter mentioned, Witnesseth that the
said party of the first part by these presents for and in consideration of
the advancement of the religion of Christ & the benefit of Education
hath given granted released confirmed and conveyed, and by these
presents doth give, grant release, confirm and convey unto them
the said parties of the second part to these presents and their successors
(Trustees in trust for the uses and purposes hereinafter mentioned and declar
ed) all that certain piece or parcel of land situated on and East
of the Black Creek & Micanopy Road in the County & State aforesaid.
lying and being in the corner of SE qr of the SE qr of the SW qr
of Section twenty one (21) Township ten (10) Range Twenty one (21) of the
Arredondo Grant known and described by metes & bounds as follows
to wit: - beginning at the line on the road: of the aforesaid section
& road, thence running East on said section line to the half mile
post: thence North one hundred and forty (140) yards: thence West
to the aforesaid road: thence South along said road to the section line
the place of beginning said to contain three (3) acres more or less.
To have and to hold the above described lot or piece of land together
with all and singular the house, woods, water, ways & privileges there
to belonging or in anywise appertaining unto them the said parties of the
