State of Florida } Be it remembered that on this 7th day of October AD
Alachua County   } 1876 personally came John B. Brooks and Alexander C. Beck
ham, Grantors in the foregoing Deed of Conveyance and acknowledged
that they signed sealed and delivered the same for the purposes therein
expressed.

 The State of South Carolina
              Known all men by these presents, that I William J. Vereen
in the State aforesaid in consideration of the sum of sixteen hundred
and fifty dollars ($165000) to me in hand paid at and before the en-
sealing of these presents by G.A. McRae in the State Florida (the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged) have granted bargained, sold and releas-
ed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the
said G.W.A. McRae his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in
fee simple forever all that certain tract or parcel of land, lying
and being and situated in the said County of Alachua and State
of Florida and more particularly known and described as follows to wit
The lots of land numbered one and two in Block ten (10) in the
Town of Waldo Alachua County Florida, fronting together sixty six (66)
on Sparkman Street seventy five (75) feet on Earle Street and sixty six
(66) on Kennard Street. Together with all and singular the rights
members hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belong
ing or in anywise incident or appertaining.
     To have and to hold all and singular the said premises before mentioned
unto the said G.W.A. McRae his heirs and assigns forever.  And I do
herby bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and
forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said G.W.A. McRae
his heirs and assigns against myself and my heirs and all other per-
sons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
     Witness my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy
six and in the year of sovereignty and independence of the United
States of America.
