Circuit Court Alachua County
Fall Term 1876
To the Hon J.H. Goss Judge,
Your petitioner Margaret J. Sanchez by E.C.F. Sanchez her
attorney would most respectfully show unto your honor that in the year
1864 or thereabouts she purchased from Tilman Ingram and J.A.L. Ingram
his wife a certain tract or parcel of land situated in the town of
Gainesville Alachua Florida and that she said Ingram and wife
executed and delivered to her a Deed of Conveyance for said property
that to the best of her information and belief that said Deed was
delivered to the then Clerk for Record, that she was under the
impression that said Deed was upon record until quite lately, when
she was informed to the contrary and petitions your honor to
establish a copy of said Deed in lieu of the original as provided
by the statutes of the State in relation to the establishment of lost
papers. She would farther show unto your Honor that at the time above
property
mentioned viz: 1864 she went into possession of the^under the Deed
above referred to and that she has been in the quiet and peaceable
possession since. That she has spent considerable amount of money upon it
in improving it, that it has always been assessed as her property & that she
has paid the taxes on the same, that the original Deed is lost, not in
her custody, knowledge and control that notice has been given
as required by law and prays your Honor to allow the copy to be re-
corded &c in lieu of the original & will ever pray &c
