State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into this
Alachua County   } the twenty second day of January eighteen
hundred and seventy seven between Thaddius Foster and
Angie L. Foster and William A. Colclough parties of the first
part and Elizabeth Varnadore of the second part all
of Alachua County Florida. Witnesseth that the said parties
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum
of five dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and
sold and by these presents do grant bargain and convey
unto the party of the second part the following described
land to wit: the west half of the north west quarter con-
taining eighty acres, twenty acres in the north west
quarter of south west quarter and twenty acres in the
south west quarter of the south west quarter and the east half
of the south west quarter Eighty acres all in section
(18) Eighteen Township (7) seven Range (18) Eighteen and
the north east quarter of north west quarter Forty acres
section (19) nineteen Township seven (7) Range (18) eighteen and
the north west quarter of the north east section (7) seven-
teen Township (7) seven, Range (18) eighteen being a portion
of the land Known as the Varnadore plantation and
containing (280 acres) to have and to hold the above des-
cribed lands unto the said party of the second part
her heirs and assigns forever and the parties of the first
part covenant to         and quit claim all their right
title and interest in and to the same.  In witness
whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set 
their hands and seals the year and day first above written

State of Florida } Before me personally appeared Mrs Angie
Alachua County   } L. Foster wife of Thaddius Foster one of
the grantors in that foregoing deed of conveyance who
being first duly questioned and examined by me sep-
arate and apart from her said husband says and
acknowledges that she signed the foregoing deed of
conveyance for the uses and purposes as therein con-
tained and for the express purpose of releasing and
relinquishing all her right of Dower in the property
in said Deed described, and that said release and
relinquishment of Dower was made by her freely &
voluntarily & without any compulsion constraint appre-
hension or fear of or from her said husband
