paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
and convey to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns
all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and situate in the
County of Alachua in the State of Florida and known and des-
cribed as the north east quarter of the south west quarter of sec
tion eight in township eleven South of Range eighteen East together with
all the tenements hereditaments and privileges in anywise hereto
appertaining. To Have and to Hold to the said party of the second
part heirs and assigns and the title to the same the said parties of
the first part to the party of the second part his heirs and ass-
igns shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents
in testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto

of the Peace in and for said County Annie L.L. Black wife of Richard H.
Black and to me personally known who having been by me first exam
ined separately and apart from her said husband acknowledged to me
that she had freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion
constraint, apprehension, or fear of or from her said husband renoun-
ced and relinquished all her right and title to dower in and to the
premises conveyed in the foregoing deed executed by her and her
said husband to James B. Colgate and dated February 17" 1877
