County of Alachua } This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of May in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy
six Between James D. Matheson of said State and County of the
first part and Rosa Shivery wife of Richard E. Shivery of the
same State and County of the second part. Witnesseth = that for and
in consideration of the sum of one Hundred dollars in hand paid
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the party of the first part
hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these Presents
does grant bargain and sell and convey unto the said party of the
second part that certain fractional portion of the south half
of section five (5) Township Ten (10) South Range twenty (20E) East
lying south west of the town of Gainesville in Alachua County State
of Florida Commencing at the south East corner of the lot or
parcel of land conveyed to Mrs E.A. Bracey by R.F. Taylor Com-
missioner on May 12" AD 1875 thence North to the Southern
boundary of the lot in said town of Gainesville now known
as the Grissom lot thence east along the Southern boundary of
said Grissom lot to the Western boundary line of the lot in said
town of Gainesville Florida now owned by James Shoals thence
south along the Western boundary of said James Shoals lot to a stake
thirty (30) feet north of the lot now owned by Mrs A.E. Taylor thence
west to place of beginning containing two (2) acres of land more
or less. To Have and to Hold the same to her the said Rosa Shivery her
heirs executors administrators and assigns. In testimony whereof

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that I Augusta S.
Matheson wife of James D. Matheson of the State and County afore-
said for the consideration mentioned in the foregoing deed of conv-
eyance as well as for the further consideration of one dollar
to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have renounced and relinquished and by these presents do hereby
renounce and relinquish all right of Dower in and to the property
conveyed by the foregoing deed of conveyance.
