State of Florida } Whereas I, Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff of
Alachua County   } the aforesaid State and County under and by
virtue of Sundry writs of Fieri Facias issued out of the 
Circuit Court of the fifth Judicial Circuit in and for Alachua
County in favor of James S. Turner and others and against
J.H. Roper I was as Sheriff commanded to levy upon and
sell the property hereinafter described as the property 
of the said J.H. Roper to Satisfy Said Sundry writs of Execution
to me as Sheriff directed and whereas I the said Louis A.
Barnes Sheriff aforesaid by virtue of said Executions
and pursuant to the Statutes in such cases made and 
provided duly advertise the property hereinafter
described for sale on the seventh day of February AD 
1876 at public auction before the Court House door
in the Town of Gainesville between the legal hours of Sale
and according to law and whereas at Said Sale Miss
Isabel H. Hopwood became the purchaser of the prop-
erty herein described she being the best bidder for the
same. Now therefore know ye that I the said Louis A. 
Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid under and by virtue of said
Sundry writs of Fieri Facias and the levy advertisement
and sale thereunder made and for and in consideration of 
the sum of One hundred (100) Dollars to me as Sheriff
in hand paid by the said Isabel H. Hopwood the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged I have granted bargained 
and Sold unto the said Isabel H. Hopwood and to her
heirs and assigns forever the following described prop-
erty to wit: Lot (3) three in Block five (5) in Range four
(4) in Ropers addition to the town of Gainesville situate
lying and being in Section four (4) Township ten (10)
Range twenty (20) S&E in Alachua County State of Florida
To have and to hold unto the said Isabel H. Hopwood
and to her heirs and assigns forever as fully as I the 
said L.A. Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid might could or 
ought to sell and convey the same. In witness whereof hereunto 
set my hand and seal this fifth day of March AD

Miss I.H. Hopwood for the uses and purposes therein mentioned
and that he together with J.J. Lucas Signed the same as
