Alachua County   } This Indenture made on the 21st
day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty four, Between James B. Bailey and
Mary N. Bailey his wife and William H. Brook Wm T.
Turner and A.M. Caston president of the board Commissioners
for the County of Alachua and their successors in office in
perpetuity of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties
of the first part for and in consideration of the Sum
of two hundred and forty two dollars and fifty Cents to them
in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
the first parties of the first part has bargained and sold
Given granted and conveyed and by these presents do
give, bargain, grant Sell and convey unto the said parties
of the second part and their successors in office all that
Certain hereditament or parcel of land, situated in Alachua
County and known and described as follows, To wit.
Beginning at the 1/2 mile stake on the eastern boundary line
of Section five (5) of Township ten (10) of Range twenty (20)
And running west eighty poles (80) to stake on the Sec-
tion line from thence East into Section four (4) of Township
ten (10) from thence South fifty five poles (55) to a stake
from thence East Eighty (80) poles to a stake on the Section
line from thence East into Section four (4) of Township ten
(10) of Range (20) forty poles and nine feet to a stake
from thence north (15) fifteen degrees west fifty one poles
and five feet to a stake from thence North (13 1/2) East Sixty
poles to a stake: from thence North five degrees West
twenty Seven poles (27) to a stake from thence West
Fifty Five (55) poles and six feet and eight inches to a
Stake on the section line from thence along the Sec-
tion line to the point of beginning and containing
Sixty three acres and 1/4 of one acre more or less
To have and to hold the above granted and described premises
or parcel of Land unto the County Commissioners and unto
their successors in office in pepetuity to the proper use
and behoof of the County of Alachua together with all and
Singular the rights improvements and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining, And
to the first parties of the first part for themselves their heirs executors
and administrators do covenant and agree with the said
County Commissioners and their successors as aforesaid that
they are seized in fee of the aforesaid or granted premises
that they are free from all incumbrances that they have
good right to sell and convey the same and that they will
and their heirs administrators and executors shall warrant and
defend the same unto the County Commissioners and their
successors as aforesaid forever against the lawfull
Claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof
we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals
