State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I George
Columbia County  } M. Whetston and his wife Charity E. Whetston of
the County and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of
two hundred dollars them in hand paid by James H. Stephens of Taylor
County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained sold and conveyed and released and by these
presents do grant bargain sell convey and release unto the said James
H. Stephens that tract or parcel of land lying situated and being in
the County of Columbia and Alachua State of Florida known as the North
East 1/4 of North East 1/4 of section 6 in Township eight south of Range
seventeen East containing forty acres together with all right members
hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way
appertaining to the same to have and to hold unto the said James
H. Stevens his heirs and assigns and we do hereby bind claim and
assign to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premi-
sis unto the said James H. Stephens his heirs and assigns forever against
me my heirs and assigns and against every other person lawfully
claiming the same. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand
and sealed this the eighteenth day of November one thousand eight

that Charity E. Whetston wife of George M. Whetston the party executing
the annexed deed for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me
paid in hand at and before the sealing of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, doth relinquish all my right to dower
in the premises hereby conveyed and the same is done of my own free
will and accord without any constraint or fear of my said husband in
testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
the eighteenth day of November AD one thousand eight hundred and
