of conveyance, and acknowledged that he executed the same for
the uses and purposes therein contained and expressed. In

County of Alachua } This Indenture made and entered into this
the first day of March AD one thousand Eight Hundred and
seventy five between J.M. Hawthorn of the State & County aforesaid
party of the first part and Arabella H. Johnson wife of Thomas
A. Johnson of the second part, The said Arabella H. Johnson being
the Daughter of the said James M. Hawthorn. Witnesseth that the said
party of the first part for the natural love and affection that
he hath and bears for the said Arabella H. Johnson his
daughter, that is the daughter of the said James H. Hawthorn, for
and in consideration of the sum of Five Dollars good and
lawful money to him in hand paid by the said party
of the second part at and before the ensealing of these
presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said
party of the first part hath given granted bargained
and sold conveyed & confirmed and by these presents
doth give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said
party of the second part, his heirs executors and administrators
the following described lot or parcel of land, The north
half of the north west quarter of section twelve Township
ten Range twenty two south and east, containing eighty acres
more or less, And it is agreed and understood that if her husband
Thomas A. Johnson should be the longest lived he shall never
be molested or disturbed but shall have free use and full
control of the aforesaid lands so long as he lives. To have
and to hold the aforesaid described lot or parcel of land to-
ether with all the rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging to her
the said Arabella H. Johnson her heirs or assigns forever in fee
simple, and the said James M. Hawthorn his heirs executors administrators
will forever warrant and defend the claims of all persons whatsoever
