This Indenture made and entered into this 17" day of September AD
One Thousand Eight hundred and seventy between James M. Ellis and
his wife Louis Ellis of the County of Decatur and State of Georgia of
the first part and Joseph Jones of the County Alachua and State of Florida
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred
dollars to them the parties of the first part in hand paid by him the
party of the second part the receipt where of is hereby Acknowledged the
parties of the first part have this day bargained sold released and conveyed
and doth by these presents bargain sell release and convey unto the
party of the second part all of a certain tract or parcel of land being
lying and Situated in the County of Alachua and State of Flroida being
the South West 1/4 of the North West 1/4 of Section Fourteen in Township
Eight South of Range twenty and East containing Forty acres more or
less to have and to hold unto the party of the second part and they
the parties of the first part bind themselves their heirs executors
administrators and assigns to warrant and forever defend the titles
to the above described lands and hereby granted premises unto the party
of the second part and his heirs and assigns from and against the
lawful claims Title or demands of all persons whatever

Know all men by these presents that I Louisa Ellis wife of the
the grantor in the written deed of conveyance for the conveyance of
Real Estate do hereby renounce release and forever relinquish to the
Grantee my rights of dower in and to the tract or parcel of
land therein described freely and voluntarily and without any
compulsion constraint or apprehension or fear of or from my
said husband

Gadsden County - Before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and
for the said State and County personally appeared Louisa Ellis wife
of James M. Ellis grantor in the foregoing deed for the conveyance
of real estate to the Grantee there in named and being examined by
me separate and apart from her said husband and having the
said deed fully explained to her acknowledged that she had freely
signed the above relinquishment of dower and that she wished not
to retract it Given under my hand and
