Alachua County   }S.S.  Before me W.F. Rice a Justice of the Peace
in and for said county and state personally appeared Thomas
E. Haile and Esther Serena Haile his wife each of whom being
first duly and separately sworn says each of them for him=
self and for herself respectively that they and each of them
did sign seal and deliver the foregoing deed of conveyance for
the uses and purposes as set forth and contained in said deed

County of Kings    }S.S.  On this twelfth day of April 1877 before me
City of Brooklyn   }  Herbert C. Smith a Notary Public in and for
the county and state aforesaid dwelling in said county duly commissioned and
sworn and authorized by the laws of the State of New York to take the
proof and acknowledgements of Deeds and other Instruments to
be used or recorded therein personally appeared John C. Smith
and Delia C. Smith his wife both to me known to be the indi-
viduals described in and who executed the foregoing Instrument
and severally acknowledged that they executed the same, and
the said Delia C. on a private examination by me made sep=
arate and apart from her husband further acknowledged that
she executed said Instrument freely and without any fear or
compulsion of or from her said husband, And I do further
certify that the said Instrument is duly executed acknowledged
and certified so as to entitle same to be recorded according
to the laws of the State of New York

                      City of Brooklyn the 12 th day of April 1877

Alachua County    }  Know all men by these presents that I,
George Doig of the State of Florida and County of Alachua for and
in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to me
in hand paid by James Doig of the same state and county the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby give, grant
bargain sell and convey unto the said James Doig his heirs
and assigns a certain lot or parcel of land lying and being
situate in the Town of Gainesville of the state and county afore-
said and known and described as the South half of Block
No. twelve (12) containing one half acre (1/2) more or less
To have and to hold the aforesaid premises to the said James Doig
