This Indenture made and entered into on this 30th day of April AD 1877
between James Doig and Francis W. Doig his wife (who joins in this deed for the
purpose of renouncing and relinquishing her right of dower to the prem-
ises hereinafter conveyed) of the first part and Wm H. Robertson of
the second part,
Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of Five dollars to them paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these pres-
ents do grant bargain and sell and convey to the party of the sec-
ond part, all that certain tract or parcel of land known and 
described in a map of Voyles survey in 1876, of an Eastern addi-
tion to the town of Gainesville, County of Alachua and State of
Florida, as follows, Commencing at the south west corner of
Block 4 Range thence running East to the A.G. & W.I.T. Cos Railroad
thence North East along said line of Railroad to Voyles Branch
thence up said Branch to a point opposite the Eastern line of State
Street thence south along said street to place of beginning,
To have and to hold to the said party of the second part, his heirs
and assigns, with the rights and appurtenances thereunto
belonging and the title to the same the parties of the first
part to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, shall
and will forever warrant and defend by these presents,
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and
affixed our seals the day and year aforesaid

a Notary Public for said County in and for said State and
County Francis W. Doig wife of James Doig, to me personally
known, who having been first examined by me separate and
apart from her said husband, acknowledged that she renoun-
ced and relinquished all her right of dower in and to the
premises conveyed in the foregoing deed made by her and James
Doig to Wm H. Robertson and dated the 30th day of April 1877
freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion, constraint,
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband and also appear-
ed before me James Doig and Frances W. Doig and acknowledged
that they had executed the said deed for the purposes therein
