This Indenture, made the third day of April in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy seven, Between Mary L. Earle and
Elias Earle, her husband of the County of Alachua and State of Florida
of the first part, and Henry Gillman of the City of Detroit, County of
Wayne & State of Michigan of the second part, Witnesseth that the said
parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Four
hundred and thirty ($430) Dollars lawful money of the United States
of America, to them in hand paid by the said party of the second
part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened,
remised, released, conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents do grant,
bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey and confirm unto the said party
of the second part and his heirs and assigns, forever all that certain
piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the East side of Victoria Avenue one hun-
dred and forty (140) North of the point where the East & West line
dividing the South half of Section thirty three (33) Township Eight (8)
South, Range twenty two (22) East intersects the said line of the said
Avenue, thence due East to the shore of Santa Fee Lake on a line
parallel to said East and West line; thence in a Southerly direction
about one hundred and forty (140) yards along the shore of the said
Lake to the point where the said East and West line dividing the
South Half of section thirty three (33) enters the said Lake; thence
along the said East and West line dividing the South half of
of the said Section thirty three (33) to the point of intersection with
the aforesaid East side of Victoria Avenue; thence north along said
side of said Avenue one hundred and forty (140) yards to the place
of beginning, all of which is comprised in the North Half of the South
East Quarter of section thirty three (33) Township Eight (8) South of
Range Twenty two (22) East, and containing about fifteen (15) acres
more or less.
Together with all and Singular the rights, members, privileges,
tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances thereto belonging or
in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, rem-
ainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof, and also
all the estate right, title, interest, dower, and right of dower separate
estate, property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well
in law as in Equity, of the said parties of the first part, of, in and
to the same, and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenan-
ces; To Have and to Hold the above granted, bargained, and described
premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the sec-
ond part, his heirs and assigns to his own proper use, benefit and |
