To all people to whom these presents shall come greeting
Know ye that we Robert Hill and Jane L. Hill (Husband
and wife) of Caroll County State of Iowa have made
constituted and appointed and by these presents do make
constitute and appoint D.W.L. Barton of Alachua
County State of Florida our true and lawful attorney
for us and in our name place and stead to sell and
convey any land situated within said County of
Alachua in said State of Florida owned by us
or Either of us or in & to which we or Either of us have any
claim or demand such sale to before such price as he
shall deem best and to make all necessary conveyances
on such sale & with such covenants as shall be proper
in the premises.
Giving and granting with our said attorney full power
and authority to do and perform any & all things in & about
the matters aforesaid as we could do if personally present
with full power of revocation to us and we hereby
ratify and confirm all that our said attorney shall lawfully
do or perform by virtue hereof.

        Be it remembered that on this 19th day of
June 1877 before me J.F. Tuttle Mayor of the Incorpora-
ted town of Caroll in said County & State and presiding
Judge of the Mayor's Court in & for said Town County
& State the same being a Court of record duly Established 
under & by Virtue of the Laws of the State of Iowa
personally came Robert Hill and Jane L. Hill to me
personally known to be the identical persons whose names
are affixed to the foregoing instruments as the grantors
therein and to be the same persons described in & who Executed
the said instrument and severally acknowledged that
they executed the said instrument & acknowledged
the execution thereof to be their voluntary act and deed
freely done for the uses & purposes therein mentioned
