                  Where as we are indebted to
James B. Dawkins by note of Hand in the sum of
Ninety Two 49/100 Dollars and where as he is
Endorser on a note due Bedwell of Jacksonville Florida
for Two Hundred & forty Dollars or there abouts signed
by James Henegger & having assumed the payment of
said note in a purchase of Lands of James Henegger
therefore the better to secure the said James B. Dawkins
in the payment of said Note of $92 49/100 and to
Identify & save him harmless against having to pay
said Note made by James Henegger & Endorsed by
said Dawkins to Bedwell for about Two Hundred
and forty Dollars
We hereby mortgage to said Dawkins all our right
title interest & claim in and to the following described
Lands to wit Commencing at the S East Corner
of the west half of sec 25 T9 R19 running N 440 yds
along the dividing Line of sec 25 T9 R19 W 440 yds
thence south 440 yds thence East 440 yds
to the place of begining.
The Condition of this mortgage is such that If
we pay the said note according to its tenor
& indemnify or save harmless the said Dawkins from
payment of said Note signed by James Henegger
and Endorsed by James B. Dawkins to Bedwell
for about $240\00 then this obligation to be null
& void Else to remain in full force & virtue
hereby waiving our homestead Exemptions for the
purposes above Expressed
