State of Florida  } This Indenture made and entered into this 12th day of
County of Alachua } October AD 1876 between William Edwards, and Julia A. 
Edwards his wife parties of the first part and Martha W. Riggs, party of
the second part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of
one hundred dollars the said parties of the first part in hand paid by
the said party of the second part at the time of executing this Indenture
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first
part hath bargained and sold and doth hereby convey unto the said par
ty of the second part all that certain lot or parcell of land in the village
of Micanopy on which the building now stands known as the East Flor-
ida Seminary and numbered according to the survey of lands of Joel B.
Smith as Nos thirteen (13) and Fourteen (14) and containing four acres
more or less to have and to hold the same to the only proper use benefit
and behoof of the said party of the second part her heirs executors or assigns
in fee simple forever with all and singular the rights improvements
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. 
     In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have here
unto set their hands and affixed their seals on the day and year
first above written.

for said County having examined Mrs Julia A. Edwards wife of William
Edwards separately and apart from her said husband and she de
clared to me upon such examination that she joined in the execution
and delivery of the foregoing Deed of conveyance for the purposes
therein contained of her own free will and accord and without fear
apprehension or compulstion of or from her said husband in testimony
whereof she has hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal on
this 11 day of December AD 1875
