  This Indenture made the twenty fourth day of August in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy Six Between Catherine
Gay in her own Individual right and A. Gay husband of Catherine
Gay both of the County of Alachua and State of Florida parties of the 
first part and Benjamin Bryan Erwin of the County of Yazoo
and State of Mississippi party of the second part Witnesseth that the said
parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Seven
hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America to them
in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained sold aliened remised
released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant
bargain sell alien remise release convey and confirm unto the
said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns
forever all the following lots or tracts of land situate lying
and being in the County of Alachua and State of Florida and
known on the public maps of said State as the lots numbered
Eight and Nine and Fourteen of Section number Four in Township
nine and of Range twenty two East containing one hundred and
forty five acres more or less (Lots 8, 9 & 14 Sec 4 T9 SR 23 E
145 acres) Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder
and remainders rents, issues and profits thereof, and also
all the estate right title interest property possession claim
and demand whatsoever as well in law as in Equity of the
said parties of the first part, of in and to the same and every
part and parcel thereof; with the appurtenances To have and
to hold the above granted bargained and described premises
with the appurtenances unto the said party of of the second
part his heirs and assigns to his & their own proper use
benefit and behoof forever.  And the said Catherine Gay and A. Gay
husband of the said Catherine for their heirs executors and administrators
do covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns that the said Catherine
Gay at the time of the sealing and delivery of these presents
is lawfully seized of a good absolute and indefeasible estate of
inheritance in fee simple and in all and singular the above granted
bargained and described premises with the appurtenances and
has good right full power and lawful authority to grant
