C.A. Simmons and Wife to Mrs Caroline S. Carnwell 
                            "Deed"
State of Florida } Know all men by these Presents that we C.A. Simmons and M.M. Simmons
Alachua County   } of the aforesaid County and State for and in consideration of the sum of
Seventeen & 50/100 dollars to them in hand paid by Mrs Caroline S. Carnwell of the County of
Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain sell and convey unto her
the said Mrs Caroline S. Carnwell all of that certain lot piece tract or parcel of land
Situated lying and being in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly
known and described as follows to wit: Lot Number (2) Two in Block Number (1) one in
Town of "Magnesia Springs" being Eighty (80) feet East and West and (230) Two Hundred &
Thirty feet North and South according C.A. Simmons subdivision of the North half
of North East quarter of Section Thirty one Township Ten (10) Range 22 S & E containing
by estimation - acres of land more or less Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining. To Have and
Hold the same unto her the said Mrs Caroline S. Carnwell and to her heirs executors administrators
and assigns in fee simple and absolute and we the said C.A. Simmons & M.M. Simmons do
hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Mrs Caroline S. Carnwell that we are
lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed and that we have good
and lawful right to sell and convey the same, that the same is free from all encumbrances
of any kind whatsoever and that we will and our heirs executors and administrators
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto her the said Mrs Caroline S.
Carnwell and to her heirs executors administrators and assigns against the lawful
claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter
to claim the same. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and 
affixed our seals on this 25th day of March AD 1882

Alachua County   } I hereby certify that on this 25th day of March AD 1882
before me personally appeared Mrs M.M. Simmons wife of C.A. Simmons
the grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being first duly questioned and
examined by me separate and apart from her said husband says and acknowledges
before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purposes of releasing
relinquishing and announcing all of her right of Dower in and to the land in said
deed described and that said relinquishment and renunciation of Dower was done and
made by her freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband.
